2. Testimonials

Take a look at what some EYP clients had to say about their experiences with us...

“I began training with EYP in January 2010. Before I began I was only ever motivated to complete short spells of healthy living. IE a few weeks of the gym here and a couple of days of good eating there. I always found it so difficult to maintain any sort of ‘normal’ lifestyle change or to set goals and actively work towards achieving them.

EYP is different to other approaches I have taken or I have heard of. In my experience EYP gives insight into what it takes to live a healthy life as opposed to selling an instantly gratifying health or weight loss solution. More to the point EYP is quite the opposite, teaching you that there is no quick or easy way to improve your health and fitness, more so that improvements to health and fitness are achieved over time and through education.

Before working with Kyle from EYP it became apparent to me at the age of 24 my weight and unhealthy lifestyle was becoming an increasingly severe health issue as opposed to merely a cosmetic or “can I fit in to these jeans” issue. I was always incredibly worn down and was frequently struck with colds and flus and any other bug that was going around, I led an inactive lifestyle with an office job, smoked a pack of cigarettes a day, washing those smokes down with a case of beer on the weekend and would break into a sweat walking through a Westfields Carpark in Winter. Since I commenced working with Kyle from EYP twice weekly I have:

1. Lost 40 Kg’s and counting
2. Been smoke free for four months
3. Ran the City to Surf in under 100 minutes.
4. Decreased my Health age from 33 years old to 23 years old.
5. Have stopped taking blood pressure medications

I used to think that I could achieve these things later in life and that I could keep going with my unhealthy lifestyle. EYP drives you to think differently and recognise that small steps can lead to big steps and big steps leads to big achievements not that a small step can simply lead to overnight improvements. Also EYP teaches you that there is no better time than right now to Excersise.

For an environment where you are taught to exercise and reach your own potential rather than just being driven for a really tough one hour of training which is what a few colleagues have advised me that other trainers are like I wouldn’t go past recommending Kyle from EYP. “

"Just a quick note to thank EYP for helping me with my weight loss battles. As most people can relate, all of a sudden I could no longer eat what I wanted and get away with doing no exercise.. But I had no idea what to do about it. I knew what I should be eating, but it didn't seem enough. It seemed just to easy to slip back to old habits. I knew I had to find some form of exercise, but wasn't sure what as I really can not get motivated in a gym.

That is when I found EYP and I loved it instantly. It was hard, actually really hard and still is a battle every training session but I genuinely look forward to my session every week. This is a pretty big step for me, I once did everything possibly to get out of doing any form of exercise. I enjoy EYP because I have a trainer that pushes me, that knows my weaknesses and strengths.

Its so much better then exercising in a stuffy sweaty gym, sitting around waiting for a treadmill or weights to become free. I'm in clean air and have all the equipment I need. I also enjoy being outdoors aswell as I am stuck in an office all day, it feels good to have some time outside away from all the hustle and bustle.

Its like being a VIP. Exactly what I needed to get my butt moving!"

"I began training sessions with Kyle about 7 weeks from my wedding - while I was fairly happy with my fitness level, I wanted to really focus on strength training and shedding a bit of pre-wedding weight, as well as toning up. I achieved my goals, through x2 sessions a week which were always aimed at my "trouble areas", and sessions which not only were always varied and kept my mind off the pain!

My sessions were intense but definatly worth it. I especially liked the boxing and circuit sessions; having someone with you to motivate and get you through those last reps, or push you through the barrier was fantastic.

I would definatly do more sessions again in the future with Kyle. He always came well prepared with a variety of equipment to change up our sessions and keep me focused. He also was willing to negotiate around my schedule which was great.

Anyone willing to put in the effort with Exercise Your Potential will see results."

"I have been doing sessions with EYP for around 5 months now and have to admit that before EYP I absolutely hated any form of exercise! It was never something I wanted to do because i thought I could only exercise at a gym and I hate gyms!

After 5 months of 2 sessions a week with EYP, I actually enjoy training. I enjoy it because it is different. It’s not like a gym session where all you do is walk or run on a treadmill. I do training that is tailored for me, in my time, at my pace. I am guided by an Exercise Physiologist who is dedicated to me for that session. So if I need help or feel that I can’t continue, I have the support I need to keep going. I am also learning about exercise as well. With each new weight lift, medicine ball, step up or sit up I am learning the correct technique and how it is helping my body.

The training is not easy and I am pushed in the sessions that I do but if I didn’t enjoy it and didn’t feel I was benefiting from it, I wouldn’t continue to go."
